Café the Plaza in the Renaissance Marketplace is very popular with locals and visitors alike. Its relaxed atmosphere, live music and wonderful daily specials have created a large fan-base. Guests who do not know Café the Plaza as yet get a great chance to learn about the pull of the place during the Restaurant Week, when the chef will showcase some of his favorites. The menu during Restaurant Week is as follows: a local soup or a small carpaccio with a pesto dressing and Parmesan cheese are the appetizers, which will be followed by pork tenderloin with a reduced red wine sauce, parsley potatoes and seasonal vegetables or swordfish with a papaya-coconut sauce and fried plantains. Home-made quesillo or a home-made brownie, both with whipped cream, are the dessert choices.
Part of the Restaurant Week’s profits will go to Maris Stella, the home of Aruba’s elderly. It is just one more reason to go out to dinner during this super special week.
